Bio

JTK/Jtk (Josh the Killer) simply kills beats and translates emotions into words and sounds. His moniker 'The Killer' was derived with the intention to 'kill' you, playing off an alternate meaning of the word 'kill, to overwhelm someone with emotions.

JTK, formally named Chijioke Okorie was born in Lagos Nigeria and moved to Canada for higher education. After graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick, JTK swiched his career path and actively built his musical catalogue, and subsequently a multi-media company named JTK Music.

Having explored numerous styles and themes in his writing and music production, demonstrating versatility, JTK narrowed down to themes of upliftment and now sees music beyond a means of escape but rather a guide into rather fearful paths of self-reflection and identity exploration.
